Museum Pasifika showcases a collection of historical artifacts and cultural as well as artistic items that belonged to over 200 artists from 25 different countries. The museum is dominated by cultural and Balinese life themes as you can also admire works of Balinese painter NyomanGunarsa and Javanese artist Raden Saleh which are amongst the most notable figures in Indonesian Art. The museum house eleven display rooms and each room showcases a different set of art. The rooms one to five, feature Indonesian, Italian, Dutch, French, and Indo-European respectively. The other rooms host temporary exhibitions, and items from Southeast Asia, and don’t miss the intriguing ‘tapa’ bark artwork of Oceania and the Pacific, and exotic paintings from China and Japan.
